Mushroom Triplets

A small little story about 3 little mushrooms.

Imagine yourself wondering through the forest and getting down low to discover a hidden world full of magic.

Those are the things we did as kids but still can do today as adults, finding beauty within small things.

I love the Bokeh and details in this image

Purple Nectar

Purple Nectar

Europe, Bergamo, Italy, 2016.

On a hot summer day in the Dolomiti, I shot this macro of a butterfly  flying to its flower to get nectar. Nice color focus and detailed image.

Blue Icarus

Blue Icarus

Macro of a blue Icarus, sitting on a grass sprout.

Incredible detailes in the body area. You can see the little hairs on the wings of the Icarus.

I was lucky finding this Icarus. Just as I was about to put away my camera and go home, I saw this one flying around so I followed it. Lucky for me it landed on this sprout and didn't move, even after I came just a couple of centimeters from this little fellow.

Vaporized

Vaporized

Just as the sun was rising above this field, I catched the morning dew just before it was vaporized.

The drop of water was gone after a few minutes, but here it still standes out so nice.

After the rains comes sun

After the rains comes sun

After the rains comes sun.

From the beautiful gardens in the Alhambra, I give you a beautiful flower. Shot this from just right after the rain. The sun was shining again and was hitting this flower. My lens has an extra Macro-feature so I can get close without having to change my lens.

Buffalo Spider

Buffalo Spider

Africa, Tanzania, Morogoro, 2015.

I took this close up with a canon zoom lens. Not really a super macro, but because of this little spider beeing very tiny and you can still see a lot of detail, I think it is macro worthy.

This spider is not venomous, and has its name because of the horns that you can see very clearly.

Wasp-Spider

Wasp-Spider

Not all that common in Holland, but much more likely to be seen in Germany, near water, you can find these big yello Wasp-spiders.

Beautiful small insects with a strange pattern in their web.

Backlight

Backlight

Lovely back light on this weed, that grows in berm near the roads in Holland.

I also love it in color, but I choose Black and White instead.

Simplicity

Simplicity

A shot from Spain. Just stopping the car and looking around make you able to see not only the wide landscapes but allows you to have a look at the details of the surrounding. Is it always interesting? Now, not always, but here I did saw something that caught my eye: A small high grown weed, just on the edge of a dried out riverbed.

Digital photography allows for very easy manipulation of colors to black and white. I normally change the settings of my camera so I know what I am looking at when seeing the image in B&W on my camerascreen. Here it was not needed, because the white little leaves were so contrasting with the dark background, that I could see without B&W. I totally like the result. Simplicity

Curtain of a spider

Curtain of a spider

The Netherlands, Bergentheim, 2017

I am blessed with the house I am living in at the moment. It has a little lake and a boat. I went out early morning, and shot this spiderweb touching the water of the lake.

The Netherlands, Twente, Enschede 2016.

Zooming in on a spiderweb is really awesome, but I would say perfect, when you have the morning sun highlighting the drops of water from the morning dew.

It's quite a spectacle and I see chandeliers, candles and christmas balls :)

Here come's the Sun

Here come's the Sun

Its amazing what you can find with your Macro lens. It does not always have to be a wide landscape of a cool shot of the city you are in.

I got down on my knees and back and looked for flowers that had the perfect bokeh.

This is a Cornflower, that grows in the wild. The sun was lined up and I focussed my focalpoint at the flower

The thing we call Poppy-love

No way can you not love the Poppy flower. Its wild, its beautiful and its a great model for a sunset picture

The castanets

The castanets

In the fields in the Netherlands, we have a lot of flowers, that are so red and beautiful and grow only a short period of time, the Poppy.

Here the poppy looks like a Spanish instrument, the castanets.
